Trend
CHN Energy is awarded a trend score of -. If the company were reassessed in the near future, its score would likely worsen. It lacks emissions reduction targets as well as a low-carbon transition plan and displays insufficient governance of climate change issues. There is also no coal phase-out plan. Although CHN Energy and its subsidiaries have shown public support for China’s pilot ETS, strong climate management and a clear emissions reduction target are very much needed for the low-carbon transition. Without these, CHN Energy’s current status is likely to change very little.
